Lovely video. We were there from the 17th to the 20th May. We stay at the Travelodge at Cobalt and use the buses and the Metro to get about. There is definitely lots to see and do and even though we've been going for years (we live in Rotherham) we always find somewhere we've never been. The music in the church/cathedral was great.

Nice footage by the coast. One place ive never been to is around Newcastle

Just watched this video on my TV Steve. I loved the trip on the ferry at North Shields. I use to work at the dry docks just past there as an apprentice when it was a working shipyard. Nice shots from St Mary's Island lighthouse and the nearby coast. Good Metro and train shots too. Great to see these locations as it's a while since I visited some of these places. Nice archive footage Steve. I used to visit relations in Ashton-under-Lyne as youngster in the 60s and had an Aunt who worked in Hollinwood, at an electrical firm called Ferranti. I never visited this station though on my trainspotting outings. Cheers, Jeff.
